Saylio Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of Saylio – AI Voice Typing (“Saylio”), provided by Astral Edge Studios (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By installing or using Saylio, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Using Saylio

Saylio lets you record speech on your device, request speech-to-text processing, edit the returned text, and optionally insert that text into a field in another Android app. You are responsible for reviewing transcripts and drafts before relying on, sharing, or submitting them.

You must use Saylio lawfully and only in ways that respect the rights, privacy, and safety of others. You are responsible for obtaining any consent required before recording another person.

License

Subject to these Terms, Astral Edge Studios grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Saylio on compatible devices for its intended purpose.

You may not sell, sublicense, distribute, modify, interfere with, misuse, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to Saylio or its services, except where applicable law expressly permits it.

Your content and AI-generated output

You retain your rights in the speech and text you provide to Saylio. You give us and our service providers permission to process that content only as needed to provide, secure, and operate the requested features, as described in the Saylio Privacy Policy.

Speech recognition and AI-generated drafting can be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable. You must review output before using it, especially for legal, medical, financial, safety-critical, or other high-impact purposes. Saylio does not provide professional advice.

Permissions and AccessibilityService

Some features require Android permissions, including microphone, notification, overlay, or Accessibility access. You choose whether to grant them and may revoke them in Android settings. Saylio's optional AccessibilityService inserts text you request into a focused editable field; it is not intended to operate your device independently or submit content for you.

Service availability and changes

Features may depend on internet access, compatible Android software, and third-party services. We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue features to maintain security, comply with law or platform rules, or improve the service. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.

Third-party services

Saylio currently relies on Supabase and Sarvam AI for parts of its voice-processing flow. Their services and policies may also apply to their processing. Details and links are provided in the Saylio Privacy Policy.

Privacy and deletion

Our handling of data is described in the Saylio Privacy Policy. You can delete the anonymous server account and associated Saylio data from Settings → Delete account and data → Delete permanently. See Support and deletion for instructions.

Disclaimer

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Saylio is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted operation. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or warranties that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Astral Edge Studios will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, opportunities, or goodwill arising from your use of or inability to use Saylio. This limitation does not apply where liability cannot lawfully be limited.

Suspension or termination

We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect Saylio, its users, service providers, or the public; to prevent abuse; or to comply with law. You may stop using Saylio at any time and may delete your account and data through the in-app flow.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when Saylio or applicable requirements change. The updated page will display its “Last updated” date. Your continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.

Applicable law

These Terms are governed by applicable law. Mandatory consumer-protection rights and any jurisdiction rules that cannot be changed by contract continue to apply.
